Field Visit to Subalterns Museum, UTEC, Malappuram on 30/07/2022  The B Ed Social Science students of 2021-23 batch got an opportunity for a field visit to Subalterns Museum at Malappauram. The students adjoined their visit along with their visit to the home of Lakshmi Priya at Angadipuram, Malappuram, who is recently married. It was a solicited reception as a part of post wedding programmes at her house. Since they got enough time at Lakshmi's house, they decided to call at the nearest place which have academic and recreational importance and chose the Museum.  It was a sumptuous experience to the students. They got opportunity to understand the heterogeneity of the Kerala culture, its agriculture, traditions and etc. They also received a brief lecture from Sri. Gopalan Mankada, who is the curator of the museum and the principal of UTEC, Malappuram.

    Social Science – Department Association and Social Science Club Activities – 2021-2023    Programme in June, 2022 Social science club organized farewell function for social science batch 2020-2022 on 29.06.2022 at 11.AM. It was a session of emotions shared by senior and junior students.  The Programme was welcomed by Aparna Suresh, 2021-2023 class representative and presided over by   Dr. Sankaranarayanan Paleeri, the teacher of the SS option subject, and organized by the SS club. 20 students from 2020-2022 batch were presented. Students of erstwhile batch (2020-22)  shared their B Ed life experiences and also presented their skills and talents. Cultural programs were handled by Haritha H   and Penuvia Mathew of 2021-2023 batch.   Releasing of  of Learners Notes by Social Sciences Association  11-08-2022  The Social Science Association of NSS Training College, Ottappalam has launched a new venture today (11-08-2022, Thursday ). The association released a single copy hand book prepared by students which contains 'learners' notes' on different topics of social science syllabus for B Ed course. The topics include Importance of Learning aids in social science teaching, Globes, Charts, Social Science and Community Resources, Social Science Laboratory, Clubs and so on.  Whole students of the SS 2021-23 batch were participated in the preparation of Learners' Notes.  The Learners' Notes is released by Dr. Ampili Aravind, Principal of the college. The copy is accepted by the students Ms. Priya R and Ms. Lakshmi Priya KP. Dr. Sankaranarayanan Paleeri, Head, SS Dept. delivered the prelude address.
